Yes. I had been there four time. Personally I prefer “Paya Beach Resort”. It’s definitely cheap, and most important the chalets are locate just along the seaside. You can wake up, walk out the room and the beautiful sea view is just infront of you.

Yup, Paya is better cos it is not as crowded and developed as the other resort

I like ABC Bungalows, located at ABC village. There is no resort, just small chalets, with good facilities. DEpending on which one you take, some has air conditioner, some just fan, cold shower or hot water. Very nice adn relaxing village atmosphere. I paid around 60 Ringgit per night for fan chalet, cold water.

beside 5 stars resort/hotel, Tioman has many many cheap chalets, from Salang, Tekek, Kg. Genting, Mukut to Kg.Juara. All are great for holiday except Salang which is over crowded ! Tekek has the most facilities include air-strip[you can fly there], government clinic, tourist complex, bank, food-court, modern jetty, school etc etc.
unless you are going there during public/school holiday, i am very sure you would not have any problem getting your dreamed chalet just by walk in[without prior booking]. Alternatively you may try [www.island.com.my] or [www.PingAnchorage.com.my] to look for details ! Been there 4 occasion n wanted to revisits the fifth time soon !
