Anyone Good At Resume Dropping?
There’s 2 restaurants I really want to work at:
-Swiss chalet, 5 minutes walk, the food’s good and I’d probably get discount.
-Wendy’s, 40 minutes walk but I have exp. & I know all the basics, also discount.
But I’ve dropped off several resumes each and never heard a call back. How can I WOW them? Also how can I ask for a business card? (related, will help land job.) I have anxiety and I’m shy, how can I do?
Looking for a ski-in/out chalet or Mont Tremblant Condo with Hot tubs and Pools? Try the the luxury Panache Mont Tremblant or Tremblant resort condos like the convenient Equinox Mont Tremblant or featuring the Bondurant Mont Tremblant or ski-in/out at the Altitude Mont Tremblant

When it comes to the business card bit, when you are dropping off your resume ask for the manager’s business card or equivalent.
As for not hearing from them, could be an array of reasons. Could be that they are having a lot of people apply, misplaced your resumes, etc,… Are you giving the resumes to staff? Or are you asking to see the manager?
Also, many restaurants like this ask that you apply online. Have you tried that?
Being that you already dropped off a couple of resumes, try giving them a call. Ask to speak to the manager, explain that you have dropped off resumes/applied online and it would be great to have an interview and be considered.
I know what it’s like to be really shy about these things, but my first job was canvassing door to door. I was a wreck when I called for the job ad, then the interview, and even starting the job. But you have to push yourself and realize that everyone is nervous about these things to some degree, and being new at this/starting again is not something unfamiliar to employers.
