Can You Rent A Condo? And If So What Is The Difference Between A Condo And An Apartment?
Earlier I asked what was the difference between a condo and an apartment. People told me that you rent an apartment and own a condo. But when I was in Nashville i saw a FOR RENT sign for a condo. Im just a little confused.

A condo is a space that is individually owned. These people can sell it or rent it anytime they want. An apartment is usually a space that is in a building or house that is owned by an individual or entity. They usually own all the spaces in the building and are not for sale. They can only be rented.

A condo is a dwelling that shares a wall or some walls with other dwellings but they are owned properties and the owner can and may rent their condo if they so wish. Apartments generally have many shared walls and the grounds and some other parts are shared by all who live there.

Yes, you can rent a condo. It’s a single apartment unit that is owned individually.
In an apartment building all of the units are owned by the same person.

Honestly, condo is just a nice way of saying “apartment”.
