How Far And How Long Will The Drive Take If I Drive From Sp/penang To Kota Bahru,i Stay At Pantai Cahaya Bulan

I’m going on 23 May 2008, that means tomorrow…and will stay in one of the chalet in Pantai Cahaya Bulan. I’m from Sungai Petani Kedah, should i take Kulim Grik Highway? How long will it take to reach Kota Bahru? Anything that i need to be aware of?

Use Kulim/Grik highway, after Grik, drive slowly to enjoy the spectacular view of mountain, lake, forest etc etc. Stop at Tasek Banding, both side of the beautiful bridge has got a chalet and the other a resort if you intend to stay overnight, even if just stop for tea to witness the marvelous scenery !
Always start your journey in the morning because just in case something happen to you or your car, there is always sufficient times to look for assistant/help ! If you are driving alone, never stop for anything, even if some body hit/bang your car, just go to the nearest police station.
Also please drive carefully as the East/West highway [ from Grik of Perak to Jeli of Kelantan ] is quite winding and going uphill til Tasek Banding then all the way downhill. A lot of lorry balak also use this highway, so please take note. If you are lucky, you may spotted elephant crossing the road ! Then stop at a distance, never honk those animal ! If you have company, stop at any way you think is worth your times, park your car safely then take some pictures ! Some of the view are simply breath taking !
The whole journey should be about 5 hours !

It is about 300 km and probably takes you from 4 to 5 hours. The state road is quite safe and make sure your car is in good condition to drive.
Always start of in a full tank to avoid searching for petrol stations during your journey…

if you do drive like the speedracer gy,then,a well five hours will do.
if not, it’ll take about 6 to 8 hours!!
drive safe~
dont carry on if you’re sleepy.
the highway is very tortuos.the road especially..
dont hitch hike,it might be dangerous

better follow Kulim Grik Highway, it safe u a lot of time though…becareful of the roads, drive with the speed mention only, dont over the speed limit….
