I Want To Send A Gift To My Tenants To Show Appreciation For Paying Rent On Time… ?
I am considering Swiss chalet restaurant gift cards. Swiss Chalet is known here in Canada for their chicken meals. I am thinking $10 card to each of my tenants. Is $10 reasonable? They definitely don’t expect a gift from me. $10 is not much but is it still better and nicer than nothing? (If not, I prefer not to send anything as I don’t want to spend more than $10 per person) THANKS.

Well, it depends, is the place a rather expensive place? By that I mean if they are gonna hve to spend 100.00 to eat there, then maybe not a good idea. Maybe try a cheaper restaurant.
By the way, that is a very nice thing you are doing for your tenants.

Instead of locking them into paying at one place, why not give them a Visa gift card? That way they can spend it any way they choose and they aren’t forced to buy a meal. Maybe they are a vegetarian
What I like to do is instead of give them money, I like to give them something for the home - a plant, with a handwritten thank you card, for instance. Or since it’s getting cooler and fall is here, maybe a large pair of mugs with a gourmet teabag or cocoa and a thank you note.

i think your point is just to show your appreciation and not to impress them. it’s perfectly fine. so nice of you. however, i hope you won’t give them the wrong impression that they’ll get a gift card every time they pay on time. the idea’s really cool, though

It is a nice thing to do but as a tenant I would prefer 10.00 off the rent one month or something like that. Every December my landlord knocks 50.00 off the rent to help with Christmas!

I think the gift card idea is perfect. It’s just enough to show your appreciation.
