What Kind Of Land Would Be Best To Build A Hunting/trapper Cabin On?
I’m planning on living there year round, also i’m not sure if i should build the cabin walls with cob & river stones or out of logs.
Looking for a ski-in/out chalet or Mont Tremblant Condo with Hot tubs and Pools? Try the the luxury Panache Mont Tremblant or Tremblant resort condos like the convenient Equinox Mont Tremblant or featuring the Bondurant Mont Tremblant or ski-in/out at the Altitude Mont Tremblant

Q: What kind of land would be best to build a hunting/trapper cabin on?
A: How about on your own land? Seriously, like the little lady said (the wife), higher up is better (for the view n clean air). Want to be near a good source of fresh water unless you have your own well and make sure your water well/source is on higher ground than your septic tank. Also, rock sounds good to me. Wife’s scared of fire and depending on where you are (south Texas brushlands had bad brushfires years this summer & California had forest fires) so I have to agree on that point. Although (before the brush fires) I’d considered a log cabin from a kit but have nixed THAT idea!
Good luck.

Location, location, location.
Get property near water source with game animals not too far away. You want to be far away from people but not too far to get electric power (unless you have other plans) All weather roads. Log cabins are cool but insurance is high.
