You’re only renting the apartment - it’s not yours. A condo - you buy and own (the structure, at least) … but, typically - not the land it’s built on.

an apartment u rent from a landlord, and a condo u buy for ownership. u might have a mortgage or not depending on how your deal was made, but the bottom line is u own the condo. u might have to pay maintenance fee, which may included things property taxes, cutting the lawn, and things like that.

typically you rent apartments and buy condos, however, in many large cities, you even buy apartments. You can rent condos as well, however, the main difference is that usually with condos, you find association fees, and apartment prices have those fees conveniently “built” in.

I think that the most common answer to that is that you rent and apartment and you own a condo. however, you can rent a condo that somebody else owns.

An apartment you rent and throw your money out the window. A condo you own with the possibility of later reselling and reaping the rewards from the equity.

Very little. Condos are usually owned with an HOA while apartments are rented. You often find Condos were once apartments.
