Any movie directed by 5 different people is bound to be confusing. This was, off course, no exception.

Absolutely bonkers film, but so sixties and fab! The theme tune was and remains one of the best film tunes ever written. Great stuff!

Still one of my favorite Bond themes, even though it’s so un-Bond-ish… but it fits the movie so damn well.

Lovely Ursula Andress posed so frequently for Playboy, et. al., that she became known as Ursula Undress. She shouldda seen it coming. Her constant nude posing hurt her film career in the long run.Meanwhile, this is a well done, sophisticated performance by Herb Alpert & band, at the height of the group’s popularity. They even knocked the Beatles off the #1 spot on the charts for a short time back in the day (though not with this tune).

Herb Alpert gave the world a spotlight on some great talents…The Carpenters, even. He’s the most modest wonder on earth. Each note of his tight trumpet was perfect!

Is anybody here a music composer? I would like for somebody to take this tune–which ends way too soon–and develop it into an extended piece that will exploit to the maximum all the possibilities of this most delightful tune.

It was composed by Burt Bacharach, who wrote many other wonderful songs. This is very specific sound associated with this time in the sixties and early seventies. I’m also a huge fan. I hope you like other things he’s done!

Well, you have pretty special taste. Look up the music of Burt Bacharach and the films of David Niven and Deborah Kerr. This particular movie was kinda cool for its time.
