Is It Difficult Going To Mont Blanc In December?
I would like to go to Mont Blanc in December .I ‘m an advanced amateur.I want to know climbing in the December is more difficult than the August.
Looking for a ski-in/out chalet or Mont Tremblant Condo with Hot tubs and Pools? Try the the luxury Panache Mont Tremblant or Tremblant resort condos like the convenient Equinox Mont Tremblant or featuring the Bondurant Mont Tremblant or ski-in/out at the Altitude Mont Tremblant

Haha yeah of course December is more difficult than August!!
I assume you mean summiting Mont Blanc via the easier route - the trudge up the snowslope with no particular technical aspects?
The snow will be ridiculously deeper in December than August - may be too deep to walk on without snowshoes.
The weather will be worse - in Summer you need to wait for weather windows of a couple of days so that you can do it safely and nicely, these weather windows will probably be harder to find during the Winter.
It will be a Lot colder, so you’ll need a lot more gear, which is heavier and hence a lot harder on your body (given the altitude).
The days are a lot shorter, you may find yourself doing most of it by headtorch light.
Are Alpine huts open during winter? I assume so, but I don’t know if they’re more or less busy than the summer..
Have you done it in summer before? I would recommend doing that first before moving onto winter ascents.

If you’re serious about undertaking a climb like this, you need to see in person an expert, somebody who knows what they are doing, not a bunch of strangers on Yahoo! Answers.
Hope this helps - happy climbing!

OK…if you were really an “advanced amateur” you would know that climbing Mont Blanc in the middle of winter is more difficult than summer.
