Why Has The Federal Wildlife Officials In Billings Mont. Asked For The Gray Wolf To Be Placed Endangered ?
I would like to know why the Wildlife Officials in Billings Montana asked for the Gray Wolf to be placed back on the Endangered List; when this kind of action is what caused the problem with the coyote in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. There is a reason that these pest are gone; and should stay gone. I wonder if they ever thought of a man’s cattle ranch when they thought about this?

Billings Montana is a beautiful city. These officials probably want to ensure that they keep an office open there and also a job for themselves there - so they have to have a local cause. This way they can also request additional funds for their local office.
I am a little bit synical but I have lived in the region for several years and the wolf can be a menace to ranchers. There must be a better way to manage wildlife without reaking havoc on every other industry and families with small children and pets.
I am all for the environment and protecting our natural wilderness and respecting the awesome power of nature - I am just tired of governmental over runs and massive expenditures at the taxpayers expense.

A species is placed on the endangered species list when it is in immanent danger of extinction. Gray wolves are, in Montana. Cattle are not. Besides, anyone whose livestock has been killed by wolves can get reimbursement from the feds. As far as injury to humans from wolves goes, there is no record of it in the U.S. and very little elsewhere.
While everyone views the world from his own unique perspective, that does not mean that the world revolves around him. The world revolves around me and I don’t want to lose the wolves. So there. :=P

WE DO THINK OF RANCHERS FARMS AND LIVESTOCKS BUT seriously you guys take that way to far. I have friends that live on farms and have a few animals of me own too.
on the news a couple of weeks ago the grey wolf was making the farmers mad and one had the balls and guts to say that the wolf did not have anymore use for the area of where it was released the Arizona and New Mexico border they get the right to shoot them if they kill an animal. Yes I would be upset BUT you cannot blame them for not knowing. It is natures way. The ranchers may not have protected their animals enough so they find it necessary to use them as the scape-goat.
I think they are the most beautiful animals in the world and extraordinary predators ever. they do need protection now. They are declining again cause of the hunts and killings the farmers do to them.
