Would You Let Your 10th Grade Daughter Date A 12th Grader If She Will Be 16 In 3 Weeks And He Was 18 Last Mont?
That’s how it is with me and my bf…he was 20 in april…and im 17…but 18 in october…and if we woulda went to school together he woulda been in grade 12 and me in 10…my parents are fine with it…but he is a great guy and he is really respectable..it really all depends on the guy..if he is a jerk and doesn’t respect the parents or the daughter then there is no way they should be able to date. But if he is nice and respects the parents there should be no problem with it.

Yes — and I did. Her boyfriend for two years was 2-1/2 years older than she was, and two years ahead of her in school. He was a very nice boy and ended up becoming practically a member of the family. However, he DID understand that she was younger and did not have the same privileges that he did, with regards to curfews, the movies she could see, etc. (They were both happy when she turned 17 and could see “R” rated movies
He didn’t have a problem with it, so I didn’t have a problem with him. HOWEVER, she is very mature, busy with school, goal-oriented, and doesn’t let a guy overwhelm her life.

I’m 16 and dating a 19-year old. I was 14 when I was dating 17-year old him. My parents know about him, like him, and support us.
It depends on whether or not you trust the guy as a person, not as a number.

I would let her, I am a sophomore and i am dating a senior. He is not 18 yet and i am not 16 yet. I think it is a good age different, I don’t date guys the same age as I am.

well they are both over the age limit to go out with some one and it’s only a two year gap. most people when they get maried have like a five year gap.

It seems that you have forgotten what an 18 years old guy wants the most at that age.
You should ask this question to her father and see if he remember why he wanted a girlfriend.

Probably, the gap isn’t that bad.
Depends on the guy, and depends on my daughter.

I’m in 10th grade now. I turned 16 on september 2nd. My boyfriend is 18. My parents have no problem with it.

Why not?
My parents have a 5 year age gap. It’s only 2 years, anyway.

yes. that is not that big of an age gap and if you trust your daughter then you trust her decisions.
